Tony Ferguson has been arrested for a DUI after crashing his truck into two parked cars in LA.

It has been a while since UFC fighter Tony Ferguson was inside the cage. Over the last few years, it seemed as though his fighter career was coming to a close but the desire to fight was still there. Now his future in the sport is even more in jeopardy as the former interim title holder was arrested for driving under the influence this past weekend.

Reports began to surface on Sunday regarding Ferguson getting into an accident in the early hours of Sunday in Los Angeles, CA. Ferguson was reportedly leaving a nightclub in the LA area when he crashed the truck he was driving into four parked cars and flipped it over. The UFC fighter was brought into custody at the Hollywood Community Police Station following the accident and a bond was set at $30,000.

Tony Ferguson has been released from custody but charged with a DUI

Ferguson was not held long and has been released following this incident. He was not alone in the car. One person was injured in the accident and was brought to the hospital, although it was not officially revealed that the injured party was the passenger of the car, and no identity was given at this time.

Ferguson refused to take a sobriety test on the scene as will be facing charges of misdemeanor DUI and possibly other charges as well. One of the parked cars that were hit by Ferguson belongs to rapper Cash Gotti. It seems he will also face some civil charges for the property damage as well.

An officer on the scene described Ferguson to TMZ as “very uncooperative at the scene and said he reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes”

Ferguson’s last fight in the UFC was in September of 2022 when he lost to Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 279. That was his fifth loss in a row. Since his last fight, he has been attending classes at Harvard Business School and seemed to be preparing for life after fighting. No statement has been made from Ferguson or his management at this time.
