Former two-time Strikeforce title challenger Tim Kennedy has lived an eventful life thus far. As a former UFC star and an active member of the military, Kennedy has seen and done a lot of incredible things, but it has not been without its scarier moments.

Appearing on an episode of The 38 Challenge podcast, Tim Kennedy discussed some of the more interesting opportunities that are presented to professional fighters outside of the cage. Specifically, a multitude of sexual interactions and stories of post-fight orgies.

An Evening of Fun Nearly Turned into a Nightmare for Tim Kennedy

As fun as that sounds, Kennedy’s story took a quick turn to the dark side when he revealed that an unnamed ring card girl involved in the festivities later disclosed to him that she had tested positive for HIV.

“Had a couple of women pregnant, and had an orgy after a fight. One of the ring girls that was there tested positive for HIV. So then she tracked down all of her former partners. I was one of a litany of them. She walks into the gym and is like ‘Hey, I’m HIV positive, and you should get tested,’” Kennedy said. “It wasn’t actually like you’re positive or negative. It was, ‘We’re gonna take some white blood cell counts over a few months to see if you are losing your immunity.’ So that sucked.” h/t MMA News

At one time, Tim Kennedy was considered one of the top middleweight fighters in the world. Retiring in 2016, Kennedy holds notable victories over Robbie Lawler, Melvin Manhoef, Roger Gracie, Rafael Natal, and Michael Bisping. After walking away from combat sports, Kennedy reenlisted in the U.S. Army Special Forces in April 2017.
