If my doctor told me I needed to have a “minor brain surgery or procedure” I’d probably be convinced I was about to die and immediately write up my last will and testament and then try to convince the top three ‘things’ on my bucket list (Damarques Johnson, Jose Aldo and Dan Hardy) to grant me a pink jello naked grappling session as my final dying wish. They would have to do it out of sympathy alone, right?
Well, Thiago Alves isn’t phased by a little minor brain surgery/procedure. According to the lovely Ms Tracy Lee’s site, Thiago just announced that he is having an angiogram done to determine what is going on with his brain. It is is also said to NOT be career ending and is NOT an aneurysm. Doctors expect him to back to training in three short weeks.
He has announced that he is having an Angiogram which is a non invasive procedure on wed to find out what is going on with him. Dr Shari Walkin contacted the very busy Dr Bernstein who is going to perform the angiogram at the Hyman Newman institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery located at Roosevelt Hospital
He has malformation of the left side of his brain. After a few days of anguish, they found that whatever it is, it should not be career ending- not an aneurism. He should be back training full speed in 3 weeks.
