Brian Stann might not be ‘Mystic Mac’, but he predicted some things.
The former UFC fighter and broadcaster foreshadowed the rise of one Khamzat Chimaev, years ago. Of course, Chimaev wouldn’t make his UFC debut until 2020. However, it looks like Stann had an inside scoop of what was coming, back in 2017.

Stann Referenced Khamzat Chimaev
Stann was attending a fan Q&A when he was asked which non-UFC fighter we could soon see in the Octagon. Stann had one fighter on his mind. He didn’t know the fighter by his name, only for his reputation.
“There’s a Welterweight in Sweden at Sweden MMA All-Stars that trains with Alex Gustafsson,” Stann said. “I don’t know his name, I just know him by reputation and he’s not in the UFC yet, but he has a whole lot of success over all of the big names that train out of MMA All-Stars in Stockholm.
“When we get this kid signed I think he’s going to make some real waves.”

So far, Stann’s prediction has proved to be right. ‘Making some real waves’ is exactly what Khamzat Chimaev has been doing, since signing with the UFC.
‘Borz’ already has quite the reputation even with only 4 fights in the Octagon. Chimaev’s quick rise and the hype that comes with it, has garnered him a fight with top contender Gilbert Burns at UFC 273. The UFC superstar may get a title shot, should he beat Burns in Jacksonville.
