It wouldn’t be the best idea if Jake Paul took on Anderson Silva. At least, that’s what Silva’s boxing coach had to say about the potential matchup.

Age is just a number for the former UFC Middleweight Champion, who is still kicking ass at age 47. Since leaving the UFC, Silva has dominated inside the boxing ring. Silva picked up wins over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz before outclassing Bruno Machado in an exhibition match.

Paul Will ‘Pay Dearly’ If He Fights Anderson Silva

With ‘The Spider’ spinning a web of success, there has been much talk of him fighting the undefeated Jake Paul. Coach Luiz Carlos Dorea can’t help but laugh when it comes to a potential clash with ‘The Problem Child’.

“You have to laugh, right? Have to laugh,” Dorea told MMA Fighting. “Jake Paul is doing his part, which is to promote. It’s obvious there’s no way he can face [Floyd] Mayweather, one of the best boxers of all time, and Anderson [Silva], another legend. He never fought a striker.”

“He has to think of an exhibition,” Dorea continued. “If he’s considering a fight, I think he will pay dearly. In promoting, it’s all valid. He’s doing his part, using his tongue, but you can’t use your tongue inside the ring. You have to use your fists, and it’s a whole other story. Anderson is far better.”
