Sean Brady has got his sights set on a showdown with Ian Garry following his submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Austin.

Determined to humble Ian

Speaking to the media at his UFC Austin post-fight presser, Brady further explained why he called out Garry. According to the 31-year-old, he has been itching to teach “The Future” a lesson and he hopes Garry beat Vicente Luque so they could possibly end up taking on each other.

“Just the way he went about it with his team, it just rubs me the wrong way,” Brady said of Garry. “He just rubs the sport the wrong way. I’m a true professional in this sport, and I just don’t like the way he walks around with the cameras and gets kicked out of Leon Edwards’ gym. He’s always talking sh*t about people, and it’s wack. I think he’s wack, and I’ll rag doll him.”

“I think that’s the easiest fight in the division. If he can get through (Vicente) Luque, which I don’t think he will cause Luque is an amazing fighter… We’ll see… If he wants to get into it on social media… But when we get into that cage, I’m going to do the same thing that I just did to Kelvin to him,” he added.

Ian is on a roll

While Brady’s call for a fight with Garry seems to make sense, he may have to prove that he is the best opponent for “The Future,” especially if Garry beats Luque at UFC 296. Brady has just got back to the win column with his victory over Gastelum, while Garry has been unbeaten in his pro MMA career.

With that in mind, the Irishman is likely to target a higher-ranked opponent next, perhaps even a Top-5 fighter and not Brady.
