It has all to come to this. One year ago Conor McGregor crossed over into to boxing to face Floyd Mayweather, today (Aug. 25) we got KSI vs. Logan Paul. YouTube celebrities fighting each other in front of a couple of million viewers online may be the future of combat sports.
Celebrity boxing and MMA has always been a thing but this fight felt diffrent. The event sold out the Manchester Arena and the pay-per-view production didn’t feel that out place compared to a regional boxing or MMA promotion.
MMA has been all about freak shows, hello Kimbo, Dada 500, CM Punk, James Toney and Herschel Walker, but how many people wpuld really tune in to watch KSI vs. Logan Paul? Apparently a lot plus all those who pirated a stream like a red blooded combat sports fan would do.
The PPV stream of the KSI-Logan Paul fight cost $10 and there are more than 800,000 people officially watching.

KSI’s last fight back in Febaury versus fellow YouTube celeb Joe Weller drew over 15 million views and counting. So how would KSI do in his second fight? Remmeber that time Logan Paul went to Japan to film a dead body?
The fight itself was ht garbage but people came out in droves to watch it.
