Nunes vs. Holm Bout Confirmed For UFC 239
Amanda Nunes last fought at UFC 232 where she dethroned then-featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and became UFC’s first female fighter to hold two titles simultaneously. Now she’s dropping down at 135-pound to defend her title against former bantamweight champion Holly Holm in the co-main event of stacked UFC 239 Pay-Per-View event on July 6 from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Previously it was reported that the bout would take place at UFC 237 in Brazil but last night UFC officials confirmed the fight will co-headline UFC 239 via their Twitter account.
“The co-main is OFFICIAL for #UFC239!

Nunes won the bantamweight belt at UFC 200 back in July 2016, where she melted Meisha Tate, and since then defended it three times over the likes of UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey and current flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (twice).
Holm (12-4) last fought back in Junes at UFC 225 where she picked up a unanimous decision win over Megan Anderson in a featherweight bout. Before that win “The Preacher’s Daughter” came up short against Cris Cyborg via fifth round decision in back and forth war. Holm is 5-4 in the UFC.
Who do you think will emerge victoriously?
