Music: Angela Hill Shares Her Playlist of Awesome Songs The UFC Wouldn’t Let Her Walk Out To

As a UFC fighter steps out from behind the curtain, and emerges to the roar of the crowd, it’s a magical moment. Well, sometimes it is.

Sometimes you’re in Brazil and thousands are chanting about your impending death. Sometimes you’re in Las Vegas on the prelims, and only you and your opponent’s family is in the stands. Or sometimes, the crowd has just endured 15 minutes of lay-and-pray and all the energy has been sucked out of their collective soul.

But at the very least the fighter has their walkout music. Their one favorite song to pump them up and get their mindset ready for their career to be defined in 15 minutes of combat. Except, sometimes they don’t even have that.

Yep. Turns out UFC turns down fighters’ requests for walkout songs all the time. We had known for years that sometimes fighters have had their walkout songs rejected, but I was never aware of of just how many songs get rejected. That is until Angela Hill schooled me.

Being the bad ass that she is, Angela Hill has collected all the songs that the UFC wouldn’t let her walkout to. And of course, there are some fucking gems (still oving “I Still Believe” from The Lost Boys soundtrack). So fire up that Spotify and enjoy a mix of Metal music that the UFC so either to soft or too busy being a hater to play in the arena.
