There’s no love lost between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

How Did It Start This Time?

The two rivals would get into yet another war of words this week. And yes, it occurred all over Twitter. It would all start with Conor McGregor taking a shot at another former foe in Nate Diaz.

‘The Notorious’ would make fun of the Stockton slugger suggesting he was fragile. McGregor reposted a highlight from their rematch, where he made his body jiggle with a knockdown.

“Nate diaz titty shake on the drop!” McGregor tweeted.

Despite Dustin Poirier gunning for a fight with Diaz, he’d go after McGregor in a new exchange. He’d drop a highlight of his own, a clip of him KO’ing the Irishman at UFC 257. Damn, okay Dustin.

With this knockout, Poirier would make it 1-1 against his biggest rival;. He’d later take the lead last summer, where he would pound away at McGregor before he ultimately broke his leg at the end of the opening round. Poirier would get the TKO nod, via doctor stoppage in between rounds 1 and 2.

McGregor has been bitter ever since.

The Exchange

It wouldn’t take long for McGregor to respond. In his comeback, the former two-division UFC Champion would likely refer to Poirier failing in his second undisputed title opportunity last December.

“You blew it you bum.” McGregor wrote in a now deleted Tweet.

Poirier would fire back.

“‘It’ meaning your fight career.” Poirier would respond.

Let’s just say McGregor doesn’t think ‘The Diamond’ is in the best place right now, after seeing what’s he doing in his free time. He probably thinks Poirier attends fan events to get paid.

“Shopping mall meet and greet 😂.”
