Khamzat Chimaev won’t be holding a torch and pitchfork if Conor McGregor jumps the line to challenge Kamaru Usman.

McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest star in MMA. He has broken PPV and live gate records for the UFC. Despite being on a bit of a slide in his career, the “Notorious” one remains a massive draw.

Khamzat Chimaev On McGregor Jumping The Line

Khamzat Chimaev took to his YouTube Channel to offer his assistance to Conor McGregor if he needs a change of scenery with his fight camp (h/t MMAJunkie.com).

“If he wanna be back, if he need some help then, we’re here. If he wanna fight Usman, I think it maybe can happen because the guy is so famous. They can make money, good money, both. That’s why if they wanna fight, both, I think the UFC wanna make it.”

Chimaev went on to say that if the UFC wants to book McGregor vs. Kamaru Usman, he wouldn’t be upset over it.

“When I finish Gilbert Burns, I think I am the next for title,” Chimaev added. “But this is the business. Who’s the famous, makes more money, they choose them. I understand that, but we’ll see what’s gonna happen. If he wanna come and train with us, he’s welcome.”

McGregor has been recovering from a broken tibia and fibula. He suffered the injuries during his July 2021 trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. The “Notorious” one has been bulking up and has exchanged some verbal jabs with Usman, who is expected to put his 170-pound gold on the line against Leon Edwards this July.
