Just because the UFC Hall Of Famer may be retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) competition, doesn’t mean he’s retired from training altogether.

Some new training footage has surfaced on social media of “The Eagle,” in which he’s seen boxing in front of a flying drone.

Nurmagomedov appears to be doing some shadow boxing in front of the drone, which is flying around him, before he leaps in with a vicious right hand that sends the drone hilariously flying across the room.

Check out the footage here:

Nurmagomedov is undoubtedly one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. The 33-year-old was able to amass an unblemished record of 29-0 throughout his historic run.

His grappling ability is unparalleled to anyone who has stepped into the Octagon before him, proving nearly unstoppable to those who challenged him.

Nurmagomedov was also one-half of the biggest UFC fight of all time against Conor McGregor at UFC 229. A fight he won via fourth-round submission by way of rear-naked choke.

He’d also share the Octagon with high-profile names such as Edson Barboza, Al Iaquinta, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje.

His last fight was against Gaethje in October of 2020, who he submitted in the second round with a triangle choke.

Shortly after the fight, Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from MMA competition, with the passing of his father several weeks before likely playing a big factor in that decision.

Despite the likes of UFC president Dana White and other top lightweight prospects trying to lure Nurmagomedov out of retirement, the Russian kept to his word and stayed sidelined, eventually being inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame.

Nurmagomedov was officially inducted on July 1 during International Fight Week in Las Vegas.
