It’s a fight you don’t want to miss!

UFC 245 will cap off 2019 with several anticipated bouts set for December 14 in Las Vegas; which includes the recently announced bantamweight matchup between top competitors Jose Aldo and Marlon Moraes.

The fight was confirmed by Brett Okamoto of ESPN via Twitter and this has to bring lots of excitement for fans…

“Have confirmed Aldo vs. Moraes with UFC president Dana White, Aldo’s lawyer Ana Guedes and Moraes’ manager Ali Abdelaziz.

That thing is ON for UFC 245.”

Jose Aldo (28-5) is a former UFC featherweight champion and one of the greatest all time pound for pound. But following his recent defeat to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 237 in May 2019, he’s decided to move to the bantamweight division to try his luck.

“Junior” won his two fights before his loss to Volkanovski, against Jeremy Stephens and Renato Moicano. But, this 135-pound move may prove to be a smart one for him.

However, Aldo will no doubt have a tough task against former WSOF bantamweight champion and the current #1 ranked UFC bantamweight Marlon Moraes (22-6-1) who also lost his most recent fight (bantamweight title fight) to Henry Cejudo via TKO at UFC 238 in June 2019.

Moraes won his four previous fights prior to the recent defeat. But afterward, it was no secret that he expressed an interest in a matchup against Aldo, according to ESPN. And this matchup should be a spectacle, with both fighters representing their home country of Brazil.

The winner will be that much closer to a potential title shot against the current champion Henry Cejudo. But Urijah Faber and Peter Yan will also face off in the 135-pound division at UFC 245. So, we’ll have to see where things go between the two matchups.

But headlining UFC 245 will be a largely anticipated welterweight bout between current champion Kamaru Usman and former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington.

Another big fight on the cards will be featherweight champion Max Holloway, who will be defending his title against against Alexander Volkanovski.

And Amanda Nunes will face off against Germaine De Randamie in an effort to defend her bantamweight title.

There’s definitely no shortage of excitement for the upcoming UFC 245 event, and these matchups will be sure to end the year with a bang!
