Alexander Volkanovski Dominates Jose Aldo In Front Of Brazilian’s Crowd!
UFC 237 PPV (pay-per-view) event is going down live tonight (Saturday, May 11, 2019) from inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Welcome to the Featherweight clash between the former 145-pound WEC and UFC champ Jose Aldo and dangerous ex-AFC and PXC king Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski, who runs on a 16-fight win streak.

Round 1
Fighters touch gloves. Both are circling around, Volkanovski misses with a body kick. Aldo keeps the center of the cage. Both Octagon warriors are very cautious.

Alexander goes forward, misses with a left high kick. Low kick Alex. Aldo still didn’t throw a single strike. Alexander switches stances and circles a lot. Aldo goes for a left hook, blocked. Left low kick Volkanovski.
Aldo checks another low kick. Good jab counter Aldo. Volkanovski goes again for a low kick, eats a counter, Aldo delivers a body punch. Another low kick for the Australian, he collects points well. Aldo fires back, right low kick.
Volkanovski misses with a left high kick. Great punches Aldo. Both fighters missed left hook. Aldo returns with a right hand, what a counter. Low kick Aldo, Volkanovski fires back with a punch combo.
Volkanovski pushes Aldo on the fence, presses him hard. Knees to the thigh. For now, Aldo defends well. Fighters separate, few misses on both sides, great ducking. Flying knee to the head Aldo, followed by two hooks, great performance. Few punches by Alex to finish the round. Volkanovski 10-9.
Volkanovski’s corner advises him to pick up the pace and to stay away from Aldo’s legs.
Round 2
Few kicks from Volkanovski, Aldo returns with a good punch. Excellent right hand Volkanovski. Body punch Jose. Superb counter by Aldo, Volkanovski survives and lands an oblique kick. Aldo misses again.
Body punch Volkanovski, followed by a low kick. Oblique kick Aldo, Volkanovski fires back. A lot of punches on both sides.
It seems Volkanovski touched Aldo’s eye, the referee stops the bout.
Great punches on both sides. Aldo returns, Volkanovski misses with few punches, great exchange, fighters in the clinch. Aldo is pressed against the fence. Good knees to the thigh again. Volkanovski attacks Aldo well, pressing him against the cage. Aldo slips away and controls Volkanovski’s back, but the Australian returns to the previous position again.
Fighters separate, and good punch on both sides. It seems Volkanovski goes forward again, and he eats knee. 10-9 Volkanovski.
Andre Pederneiras looks worried.
Round 3
Aldo goes forward, eats a low kick. Left hook miss Aldo, great punch combo on both sides. Volkanovski pushes Aldo on the cage again, he keeps his hands tightly wrapped around Aldo’s waist.
Knees to the thigh again, and a left knee to the mid-section. Two great punches to the head by Volkanovski. Volkanovski misses right hook by a hair, Aldo counters well. Alex attacks all the time. Volkanovski clinches up, but the fighters quickly separate.
Wow, brutal left hand by Volkanovski. Aldo pulls back. Aldo ducks under a left hand, but Volkanovski presses him against the fence again. Jose Aldo looks really helpless here.
Volkanovski has both under-hooks in, he continues punishing Aldo with brutal knees to the thigh. These are painful strikes. Aldo tries to separate, Volkanovski clinches up again. Alex holds the fence, the referee warns him.
Volkanovski keeps landing these brutal knees to Aldo’s right thigh. Short punches Volkanovski. Aldo cannot escape the clinch. The fight ends, 10-9 Volkanovski.
