Joe Rogan and Ric Flair had an interesting conversation while the wrestler was on the Joe Rogan Experience.

Flair is one of the most famous wrestlers of his time and the 74-year-old finally was on Rogan’s podcast. During their conversation, Rogan talked about his relationship with Dana White and said the two will call each other and just talk for hours about fights. Then, out of the blue, Flair brought up Helwani and the two then had an interesting back-and-forth.

Flair thought Helwani used to fight

Rogan: I can call Dana at one o’clock in the morning. We’ll talk for three hours about fights. Just talk.

Flair: Ariel has a good job with him (Dana White), right?

Rogan: Ariel Helwani? Ariel Helwani is independent now. He does his own thing… They don’t get along, he doesn’t get along with Dana for some reason, well there are reasons. I don’t have a problem with Ariel. I like Ariel. His show is great, he does a really good job at interviewing people and gets a lot of great athletes on and great fighters on. He’s got his own thing right now which is working out very well for him. He was with FOX for a while. He was with ESPN for a while, I don’t know if he has worked for other people as well, I don’t want to speak out of school. I know his show is very successful.

Flair: I just saw him at WrestleMania. Ariel is pretty tough, too, right?

Rogan: Is he? I don’t know, I don’t think he ever fought. I don’t even know if he trains.

Flair: Oh, he didn’t? Well, god. He looks like he did.

Rogan: Scared of him?

Flair: No.

Rogan: Well, what are you trying to say?

Flair: I thought he fought at one time.

Rogan: I don’t believe so, I could be wrong. But, I don’t know everybody that trains.

The interaction was a funny one and one that surprised Joe Rogan as Ric Flair that Ariel Helwani used to be a fighter. But, Flair was quick to say he wasn’t scared of Helwani, even though he thought he did look big.

The video clip is quite amusing as it shows the legendary Ric Flair appearing so down-to-earth, despite being a living icon. He makes some errors when discussing MMA, which only adds to his endearing charm.
