Reigning light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill was spotted looking more like a heavyweight in a recent video clip posted on social media.

‘Sweet Dreams’ has been on the sidelines since capturing the vacant 205-pound crown via a unanimous decision victory over former titleholder Glover Teixeira at UFC 283. Hill is expected to defend his title against Jiri Prochazka, but the fight has been delayed multiple times while Prochazka continues to recover from shoulder surgery earlier this year. Clearly enjoying his time off, Hill has ballooned well beyond the light heavyweight limit. According to division standout Anthony Smith, Hill could put some legit heavyweights to shame on the scale right now.

“He needs to get on a diet, that’s what he needs to do,” fellow UFC light heavyweight Anthony Smith said on the Believe You Me podcast. “Have you seen him? He gets heavy. He doesn’t care. He is not shy. He gets real high. He’s well over 240.”

Anthony Smith and Jamahal Hill were originally set to square off in March, but Hill’s quick promotion to the UFC 283 main event squashed those plans. Instead, ‘Lionheart’ faced Johnny Walker in May. Smith came up short, surrendering a lopsided unanimous decision to Walker in what would be his second-straight loss inside the Octagon.

“I seen him in Jacksonville and at that time he still hadn’t heard anything but he said that’s what he was looking for,” Smith continued. “He said that Jiri sounds like he’s gonna be ready soon, he didn’t hear anything on a date yet though.”

MMA Twitter Brutally Body Shames Jamahal Hill

Needless to say, MMA fans on social media were less than forgiving when catching a glimpse of Jamahal Hill’s out-of-competition physique and took to body shaming the reigning world champion.
