Jake Paul has sent a warning to Nate Diaz by predicting a sixth or seventh-round knockout in their upcoming boxing match.

On August 5, Paul looks to get back on track after losing for the first time as a professional boxer. The 26-year-old has picked Diaz, a former UFC lightweight title challenger, as his next opponent.

As the intriguing boxing match nears, ‘The Problem Child’ did an interview with InsideFighting to discuss Diaz and various other topics. Paul was asked for a message to his upcoming opponent and a fight prediction, which he responded to by saying:

“My message to Nate Diaz is, look, I’m glad you trained hard. I’m excited to fight you and anything you bring to the ring will not be good enough to beat me. You will be stopped in the sixth or seventh round.”

In February of this year, Paul’s professional boxing record dropped to 6-1 after suffering a split-decision loss against Tommy Fury. Before losing in Saudi Arabia, ‘The Problem Child’ secured wins against AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley x2, and Anderson Silva.

Meanwhile, Diaz’s last fight was in the UFC when he defeated Tony Ferguson by a fourth-round submission in September 2022. Shortly after having his hand raised, the Stockton native revealed he would temporarily leave the MMA promotion to pursue the boxing match against Paul.

Jake Paul isn’t worried about Nate Diaz’s team potentially causing problems during fight week

Nate Diaz and his team have gained a reputation for causing trouble during fight weeks. Considering Diaz’s camp doesn’t seem to like Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer was asked about the chance of an altercation during fight week. Paul responded by saying:

“I’m not [worried about any team vs. team run-ins]. We’re ready for the smoke if they want to do that punk sh*t that they normally do, but not worried about it at all. The most that can happen is somebody getting hit with a water bottle, that’s their signature, so it’s not too bad.”

Paul received plenty of backlash for his loss against Tommy Fury. With that said, there is still intrigue for his boxing journey, which could be lost if he doesn’t beat Diaz. Therefore, ‘The Problem Child’ will have added pressure to take out the Stockton native inside the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
