Jake Paul continues to try to goad Nate Diaz into facing him in an MMA bout.

Back in August, Paul took a unanimous decision victory over Diaz in their 10-round boxing match. “The Problem Child” has been adamant about fighting Diaz a second time, but under MMA rules. Diaz has shunned the idea, saying he doesn’t want to fight for the PFL and demanding co-promotion with his Real Fight Inc. brand in order to make the MMA fight a reality.

Jake Paul Warns Nate Diaz Of What Would Happen In An MMA Fight

In a new video posted on the official X account of PFL MMA, Jake Paul is seen in PFL gear discussing why he thinks he’d be a huge problem for Nate Diaz inside the cage.

“Nate Diaz is a smart man staying away from me in MMA, smart man,” Paul said. “Man, he can’t take me down. I have better wrestling than him. Ohio division I state wrestling experience. He clearly can’t punch me, he punches so soft, pillow hands. If we fought in MMA it’d only be 15 minutes, which is half the amount of time we just fought. I’d up the punch count, up the pace, kill that man.”

Paul will need to shift his focus on an upcoming boxing match with Andre August on December 15. Many fans were caught off guard by the choice in opponent, as Paul has mostly been boxing older MMA fighters. August is no spring chicken in the combat sports world at age 35, but he has far more pro boxing experience than most of Paul’s past opponents. Time will tell if he can put a dent in Paul’s future plans.

As for Diaz, his next move is unknown at this time. The Stockton native has expressed loyalty to the UFC, and says he will eventually return to the promotion.
