- Ian Garry explained in full detail how he likes to finish Geoff Neal at UFC 298
- “The Future” previously voiced his desire to face Sean Strickland
Ian Garry is unsurprisingly confident about finishing Geoff Neal at UFC 298 and he even has a clear picture of how it could play out.
Geoff will look like a dog
In an Instagram post, “The Future” boastfully detailed how he wanted to take “Handz of Steel” out in their upcoming welterweight showdown at UFC 298. According to Garry, Neal would wind up looking “like a dog” when it’s defecating.
“What am I going to finish him with? I am going to make him quit,” Garry said in the short video. “He’ll choose when he’s done.”
“I’d like to kick him to the body and have him do that like when the dog’s sh***ing. The dogs look at you like, when they’re pooing, for protection. That’s what they do, right? Dogs look at their owners when they’re pooing because that’s when they’re vulnerable for attack,” he continued.
Ian has got his eyes on Strickland too
Looking at Garry’s remarkable UFC run, it’s easy to see that a couple more wins could make him one of the top contenders in the welterweight division. While that seems to make sense, “The Future” also hinted at settling his feud with former middleweight champion Sean Strickland.
Following Strickland’s title fight loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 297, Garry flirted with the idea of taking on “Tarzan” sooner rather than later.
Until then, Garry will have to prove that he could sustain his flawless MMA record by beating Neal at UFC 298. As it stands, Neal is currently the No. 8 welterweight contender and is coming off a submission lost to Shavkat Rakhmonov. Garry, meanwhile, is just slightly behind at No. 10 but was successful in beating Neil Magny via unanimous decision. Stating the obvious, a win over “Handz of Steel” could earn “The Future” a possible shot at any of the available Top-5 contenders.
