Some changes have been made to the bail requirements of Harry Goularte Jr.
Earlier this year, the 43 year-old was accused of molesting the son of Cain Velasquez. As a result, the former UFC Champion went after and shot at the fleeing Goularte. Velasquez was then put in jail for 8 months before finally getting bail in November. As for Goularte, it’s a different story altogether… especially now.
The Changes To Goularte’s Bail Requirements
According to a report from MMA Junkie, a judge ruled that there will be some major changes surrounding the terms of Goularte’s bail. As of Friday, Goularte is now able to change his California residence and his new address will remain sealed and confidential.
That’s not all, folks. Following his accusations from earlier this year, Goularte was not able to be around any minors whatsover as stated in his original bail conditions. But that has now changed to a degree with Goularte being allowed to be around minor family members during the holidays. Of course, so long as other adults are there.
This past June, Goularte pleaded ‘not guilty’ to one criminal charge of lewd acts with a minor, which was allegedly Cain Velasquez’s then four year-old son.
Goularte’s next pre-trial hearing is set for Jan. 17. Until then, Goularte continues to under court supervision and GPS monitoring in Santa Clara County (CA). Goularte has been able to work a construction job while he waits for his upcoming day in court.
If Harry Goularte Jr. does end up being found guilty, he could face up to eight years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
