Harry Goularte, the man accused of molesting the son of former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez may have more victims.
During Velasquez’s pre-trial hearing on Monday, multiple responding officers took the stand to recount events that led to Velasquez’s arrest in February after allegedly engaging in a high-speed chase before firing multiple shots into a vehicle carrying the man he is accusing of molesting his son. The most notable moment of the hearing came during the cross-examination of officer Nathaniel Rodriguez by Velasquez attorney Mark Geragos.
According to officer Rodriguez, Cain Velaquez was cooperative and respectful during his arrest and stated that his son was the victim of molestation by Harry Goularte at Patty’s Daycare. Officer Rodriguez also confirmed Velasquez’s claim that there was more than one victim. Geragos had previously alluded to this in prior comments, but it is the first time the accusation was revealed in a court hearing.
Velasquez has remained in jail since his arrest with multiple requests for bail being denied.
The Family of Cain Velasquez Files Civil Suit Against Alleged Molester Harry Goularte
Harry Goularte will appear in court on November 14th for a pre-trial hearing for allegedly molesting the child of Cain Velasquez. Goularte has pleaded not guilty to the charge of lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14. In addition to facing a criminal trial, Goularte was also hit with a civil suit by the Velasquez family.
Filed in California’s Santa Clara County, the complaint, which was obtained by MMA Junkie, listed both Goularte and his mother Patricia Goularte along with her business Patty’s Childcare. In the document, the abuse is alleged to have taken place in 2021 and 2022 and cites Goularte’s stepfather Paul Bender along with all employees of the daycare as parties that should also be held responsible.
