The last time we saw Gegard Mousasi, he got laid out so bad by Uriah Hall he looked like E.T. dead in a creek. According to Mousasi, that was because he didn’t stick to is usual calculated approach and tried to bring more “excitement”. Citing this error, the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion decided he’d go back to being cerebral and it resulted in a dominating decision against Thales Leites. Good for him, but not for the crowd evidently, who booed Mousasi in victory.
Now, Mousasi is always known for being very polite and even concerned for his opponents within the cage. He’s a genuinely good guy. …There’s only so much one, peaceful warrior can take. So, after always doing the right thing, Mousasi had to go full Diaz!

After the Stockton salute, Mousasi continued his “heel turn” during an interview with Ariel Helwani. At the end of the conversation, Helwani brought up Lyoto Machida and Mousasi. Went. In. Not only did he accuse Machida of greasing and being on steroids (token Diaz), you want to know what else he has to say? Fuck him, that’s what.
