One of the UFC’s top-ranked lightweight competitors, Rafael Fiziev, is being accused of not making three months’ worth of gym payments to his former training grounds. Fiziev, the 29-year-old No. 6-ranked fighter in the UFC, is currently on a phenomenal win streak inside the Octagon. He’s currently on a six-fight win streak that includes victories over names such as Renato Moicano, Bobby Green, and Rafael dos Anjos.

Now, Fiziev is being looked at as one of the names to keep an eye on for potential title contention down the line. His impressive performances inside the Octagon have garnered him either a performance bonus or “Fight Of The Night” bonuses in his last five fights. That equals out to an additional $250,000 on top of his fight purses. Aside from his income as a fighter, Fiziev is also a striking coach at Tiger Muay Thai.

Rafael Fiziev Owes Ex-Gym Money

With all of that being said, Fiziev’s ex-gym, Phuket Top Team (PTT), has taken to Twitter to accuse him of not paying gym rent worth up to three months. The accusation came via a Tweet reply to Fiziev’s former Octagon opponent, Renato Moicano, who Fiziev defeated in 2020.  Here’s what they had to say:

PTT has gone as far as suggesting that they have the paperwork and messages to prove the accusations. However, as of this writing, no such information has been made public. Fiziev has also yet to react to the accusations publicly.

While this issue continues to play out, Fiziev is approaching the biggest fight of his career. He’ll lock horns with ex-title challenger Justin Gaethje on March 18 at UFC 286 in London, England.
