- Daniel Cormier showed up at a recent WWE event as a special guest referee
- DC had an epic moment with WWE superstar Seth Rollins
Earlier this month, news broke that former UFC double-champ Daniel Cormier will serve as a guest referee for the Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE’s Extreme Rules this Saturday, Oct. 8 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The show is considered as a premium event courtesy of the WWE and it’s only fitting that a UFC legend like Cormier makes an appearance in it. And unsurprisingly, “DC” did not fail to deliver.
“DC” the referee in action
Fans in attendance were hyped as soon as the announcer introduced Cormier, who came out rocking the traditional zebra stripes referee uniform.

The UFC Hall of Famer took his job seriously
While some may have thought Cormier wouldn’t take his role seriously given it’s professional wrestling, “DC” proved them all wrong. In fact, the UFC Hall of Famer even threatened Seth Rollins to not touch him at one point.

For those who didn’t know, Cormier and the WWE have been in talks since after DC’s final UFC fight in 2020. Will it be the first and last time Cormier will pop up in a WWE event? Let’s wait and see.
