Select UFC titles will be getting a brand new look.

UFC Belts Boast New Design

That’s right, UFC President Dana White is in the middle of getting new custom belts ordered for just three of his twelve world champions. Hailing from Mexico, UFC Flyweight Champions Brandon Moreno & Alexa Grasso along with UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Yair Rodriguez should be getting their hands on these unique belts.

Just how unique are they? Well, we got a first glimpse of that with Rodriguez displaying a replica UFC belt designed by Mexican artists Oaxaca Jacobo and Maria Angeles (h/t: Danny Segura). The re-design has left the MMA community wanting more.

White Has Made His Mind

The UFC boss is on board with this idea, wanting to give his Mexican champions some shine with new gold around their waist.

“So, there’s a guy down in Mexico that does this and wants to do belts,” White told Complex. “I have three Mexican world champions right now. What they wanna do is they wanna like customize the belts, like take our belts and paint ’em the Mexican flag and it was all these cool concepts for the belts.

“I’m actually gonna do it,” White confirmed. “So, these fighters would have a one-of-one custom Mexican championship belt.”

Mexico’s Champions

First things first, Tijuana’s Brandon Moreno and Chihuahua’s Yair Rodriguez will have to compete at UFC 290 this weekend. Two-time champ Moreno defends his title against former foe Alexandre Pantoja while Rodriguez looks to unify the featherweight title against Alexander Volkanovski.

Guadalajara’s flyweight queen Alexa Grasso will have some time until her next title defense against Valentina Shevchenko, which will come on Mexican Independence Day.

What a sight it would be if all three Mexican Champions held custom UFC titles celebrating their heritage by that time.
