Conor McGregor is making some bold promises on his Twitter account this week.

Fans who follow Conor McGregor on social media know to expect the unexpected. Many times McGregor will take to social media, spit out some bold or outlandish claims, and then delete them. This is his trend and even though not many of his statements hold much water they almost always seem to start drama. This week he made a few more bold claims but did not delete them. It seems that his recent Tweet will hold true and might make another UFC fighter very happy.

It is no secret that McGrgeor is the most popular fighter on the UFC roster. Fans love to see him fight and trash talk and fellow fighters want to face him for the big paycheck that comes along with it. McGregor is called out quite often by fighters in his weight class and beyond. Most recently he was called out by former featherweight champion Max Holloway. These two have faced off before and now Holloway wants to run it back. McGregor is happy to oblige.

Conor McGregor welcomes another fight with Max Holloway in the future

Holloway is fresh off his win over Arnold Allen at UFC on ESPN 44. Following that bout, Holloway spoke to The MMA Hour about wanting to test himself against McGregor once again. These two fought back in 2013 before either man become a UFC champion.

“I would love to fight Conor,” Holloway said.  “I was the only guy that took Conor to a decision at 145.”

McGregor caught wind of this call out and responded to Holloway through a third-party tweet. He shared that the timeline for his fighting career was indefinite and that the two of them will meet again.

“I’m never retiring so we defo fighting, lad,” he wrote.

McGregor plans to continue fighting for a long time it seems, but right now his immediate future is in limbo. He is planning a return to the cage following a long layoff this year, but no date has been set. He is scheduled to take on Michael Chandler whom he coached against on The Ultimate Fighter, but many are uncertain if that fight will ever be set.
