There you have it, folks. Johny Hendricks is your new UFC welterweight champion — in an era devoid of GSP. That’s the equivalent of Big Nog being the Pride FC heavyweight champion if Fedor unexpectedly retired in 2006.

Although the decision in the main event will be endlessly debated (as most title decisions have been for the past two years), one thing is certain: you guys definitely brought your A+ game to MiddleEasy’s ‘Sh*t people tweeted @MiddleEasy during UFC 171.’ In fact this may go down in history as some of the greatest and wittiest collection of tweets we’ve ever seen. Although we do have to hand out a Tweet of the Night Award, and it goes to @resin_hitevil9 for his super-logical and accurate statement.
