Bobby Green is not happy with missing out on a large fight purse at UFC Vegas 71.

There was a controversial call on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 71. The main card fight featuring Bobby Green vs. Jared Gordon was called early due to an accidental clash of heads. Due to the damage of the headbutt, the fight was called a disqualification, and both men were left feeling unsatisfied. Immediately following the end of the fight, Green was interviewed by the media. He was very upset with the situation and stormed out of the media room.

Along with his frustrations on the fight, he also voiced his frustrations with not getting paid his full purse. Now Green is expressing just what he missed out on during The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.

“First of all, I was already like finding out what the f–k happened because I thought it was a finish and then all sudden I found out they were calling a no-contest,” he said. “So I’m like already f–k it, it is what it is. But as I started going back to the back of the room, I realized that’s 100 grand I missed out on.”

Bobby Green believes that the fight should have been allowed to proceed after the headbutt

Green was mad at the way it all went down in Vegas on Saturday night. He recalls a similar situation just two weeks ago where a fighter, Chris Curtis was involved in a clash of heads and went on to lose the fight because of it. In that instance, there was no DQ, and Green thinks that is how it should be. He began to criticize the softness of the UFC and the rules being put into place.

“We got to understand that this is still a f–king fight. Okay, and I know we need that rules. There are rules,” he said. “When did we start becoming p—ies? Like this is a f–king fight…I’m not trying to shoot Gordon down or talk s–t about Gordon, but what I am saying is that this is what it is, it’s a f–king fight bro and sh-t happens.”

Gordon has already expressed his desire to run the fight back again. This is the second controversial fight in a row for Gordon. His last fight against Paddy Pimblett was scored strangely and Pimblett has been asking for a rematch as well.
