The BKFC’s St. Patrick’s Day show has been scrapped and saved for another day.

‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

BKFC 38 was to take place in Delray Beach, Florida on March 17th, headlined by former BKFC champ Dat Nguyen and former Bellator champ, the debuting Daniel Straus. However, things didn’t go according to plan on March 16th as the bare-knuckle boxing promotion put out a statement that they were ultimately canceling the event for the weekend.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances outside of BKFC’s control regarding the venue, the sold out BKFC 38 in Delray Beach, Florida which was scheduled for March 17, 2023, has unfortunately been postponed,” the BKFC announced on Thursday.

“The event and fight card has been rescheduled for April 21, 2023. All tickets purchased for the March 17 date will be honored for the new date.  Refunds will be made available to those who cannot make the new date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we look forward to seeing you in April!”

BKFC 38 was sold out before the cancellation, selling every ticket they could at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.

It is still unclear on what exactly led to their demise, but as the statement reads it had something to do with the venue. Regardless of the reason, the event has been rescheduled for April 21st with the main event between Nguyen and Straus still intact.
