Oh snap. Anna Somers just secured a kimura.
The 28 year-old atomweight fighter got her first win in her second pro bout. She’d face off against Irlanda Galindo at Combate Global on Friday, in Miami.
Somers’ sequel appearance as a pro was memorable to say the least. And by memorable, we mean it looks like she broke her opponent’s arm.
The atomweight would first go for a triangle, but would change it into a kimura lock as the round was coming to an end. Somers having the arm secured, would crank the arm the opposite direction. Within seconds, a loud snap would sound from Galindo’s arm.

The referee would stop the action right after the snap.
Galindo would wear disbelief and defeat on her face. Somers would embrace her after the gruesome finish. What a submission by Somers in only her second pro outing.
