The former UFC Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva Praises His 20-Year-Old Son Gabriel: “He Has A Great Future Inside The Sport”

Anderson Silva is the man with most UFC 185-pound title defenses in the history of the promotion. Unfortunately, he had ups and downs during the last few years. In his last 8 matches, Silva won only once, against Derek Brunson at UFC 208 via unanimous decision. “The Spider” last fought at UFC 237, where he was chopped down by Jared Cannonier via awesome leg kick in the first round.

Silva’s son Gabriel competed in Muay Thai bout last month, and won the opponent via second-round stoppage. Anderson Silva predicts a great future for his son in the world of fighting. (h/t TMZ)

“He’s not mini spider. he’s the Best spider”

“He has a great future inside the sport.”, Silva said.

When the reporter asked Silva whether he thinks his child could be better than him, the former 185-pound kingpin had no doubts.

“Of course!”, Anderson Silva said.

The Brazilian also confessed his son “sometimes beats him in the sparring”.
