Watch As Gabriel Silva Is Victorious In Muay Thai Debut

Anderson Silva will forever be known as one of the best combat sports athletes of his era. However, his son Gabriel, is now following in his footsteps.

Anderson Silva has spent the majority of his UFC tenure on top. He reigned over the Middleweight Division for seven years, amassing 10 title defenses. Silva often made people look like they did not belong in the cage with him.

Now, at 20 years old, his son Gabriel has started his combat sports journey. Saturday night, he competed at Californian event WCK 35. This was his first Muay Thai fight, and he went on to win, via second round TKO. Although currently, there is no footage of the finish, Silva posted this clip from the first round:

(Translated) “This is your achievement, my son. It is proof that every dedication has its recognition, is the fruit of much struggle and determination, it is only the first step to a life full of merit, you can be sure !!! Now it’s focus, keep training hard, the secret is to always do it for love !!
Congratulations … I’m proud, I’ve seen a lot of myself today in you, I’m happy and I think the certainty that I can really stop is closer! I love you Son … Bad Boys.”

That is a warm sentiment coming from Silva. Also, it is nice to see Gabriel Silva following in his family tradition. Perhaps, we will one day see him compete in the Octagon as well.
