Gabriel Silva, the son of UFC legend and former world champion Anderson Silva, scored his second-straight win under the Misfits Boxing banner, though it didn’t come without some adversity.

Silva, who earned a first-round knockout in his promotional debut, squared off with TikTok star OJ Rosé as part of the event in London. Rosé delivered a better-than-expected performance, but in the end, Silva claimed a majority decision with one judge favoring him in all four rounds.

Following the announcement, Silva called out Anthony Taylor who stepped inside the ring sporting a new hairstyle and a word of warning.

“Once I knock you out, I’m gonna knock out your daddy next,” Taylor said.

Anthony Taylor is currently 5-4 as a boxer with his biggest win coming against Salt Papi at MF & DAZN X Series 7 in May. ‘Prettyboy’ is sitting on back-to-back wins following a unanimous decision victory over Kenny Ojuederie in his most recent outing.

Gabriel Silva On Why He Went the Way of Boxing Instead of Following in His Father’s Footsteps

With a father as iconic as Anderson Silva, many question why the young Silva would navigate toward the sweet science instead of mixed martial arts.

“I’m extremely focused on boxing. It’s a very endearing and hard sport. Also, I’m dedicating 100 percent of my time toward that,” Silva told MMA Junkie on the red carpet of the UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony earlier this year.

“… I love boxing. My brother does boxing, as well, so I kind of grew up with him, watching him box, as well. I love the art. It’s amazing. I love the discipline of martial arts in general. I started with amateur kickboxing, but I went professional as a boxer.”

Gabriel Silva is now 3-0 inside the squared circle.
