Alexander Gustafsson believes it’s impossible he will lose his fight against Thiago Silva

I know I will not lose my next fight against Thiago Silva because there would be no fight against Thiago Silva. The entire altercation would be me futilely holding my hands over my face as he uses his open fists to pummel my brain. It wouldn’t be considered a fight, not even by Street MMA standards. More like a dude repeatedly yelling ‘Why?’ and ‘STOP!’ until the blood leaking out of my nostrils prevented me from breathing. That’s more like a gang initiation than an actual fight. However, I didn’t sign a UFC contract to go toe-to-toe with a guy that did this to Brandon Vera’s nose. Leave that to Alexander Gustafsson and whatever Swedish viking mentality that forces him to lead the path of being one of the greatest light heavyweights the UFC has ever witnessed. However, it’s too early to even make a statement that bold considering he’s never stepped inside the octagon against Jon Bones Jones — or even a guy like Thiago Silva. On UFC on Fuel TV 2 next month, we’ll know a little bit more of what The Mauler is capable of, but in this Fuel TV interview, Alexander Gustafsson makes it clear that it will be impossible that he will lose against Thiago Silva.
