  • “The Great” sees Bobby Green possibly upsetting Paddy Pimblett

Alexander Volkanovski thinks Leon Edwards could dominate Belal Muhammad, and Bobby Green could edge Paddy Pimblett at UFC 304.

Volk sides with Leon

Speaking on his YouTube channel, “The Great” analyzed that “Rocky” will be coming in as the “more aggressive” fighter over “Remember The Name.” Volk could see Edwards being able to handle Muhammad’s offense and putting on a striking clinic.

“The thing is, I feel like Leon Edwards, I thought he was quite aggressive in their first fight and I think we’re going to see that again. I feel like Leon Edwards is going to feel that he can be a bit more aggressive with someone like Belal you know, Belal ain’t going to be looking for big knockouts, he might be looking for clinches, he will look for shots obviously, I don’t think Leon’s going to be too afraid of that so, I think [Edwards] is gonna let his hands go, which is gonna make him a lot more dangerous. ‘Cause when he does let his hands go, he’s good,” Volkanovski said.

“Leon Edwards is really good. Even just watching his training, hitting pads. You can see there’s power in his kicks,” he continued.

‘King’ could upset ‘The Baddy’

As for the lightweight showdown between Green and Pimblett, Volkanovski believes “King” has a better chance of winning. For Volk, Green would be more capable of inflicting damage on his opponent than “The Baddy.”

“I’m going to have to go with Bobby Green, I think he’s the safer bet here,” Volkanovski assessed. “It’s going to be a three-round fight. Paddy Pimblett, it’s going to be hard for him to take him down and get a finish. Can he go and upset? hometown crowd? I don’t think that’s going to faze Bobby Green. Again, Bobby Green’s going to put himself in positions where Paddy Pimblett’s going to feel he can fire and going to lull him into shots. I guarantee we’re going to see that pretty much straight away.”

“I feel Bobby Green’s going to hit him, hurt him, maybe Paddy Pimblett would start trying to look for the shots straight after that. Does he get them? Or does he get hurt straight away? I’m not sure,” he continued.

UFC 304 will take place this weekend in Manchester, England. Edwards will try and defend his welterweight title for the third time, while the hometown hero Pimblett will hope to improve his winning streak to six in a row.
