TJ Dillashaw – UFC Career
TJ Dillashaw had his UFC debut in the finals of the Ultimate Fighter 14 finale on December 3, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada, versus John Dodson. TJ was defeated in the first round via TKO. This was TJ’s only TKO loss in the career.
TJ defeated Walel Watson at UFC On Fuel TV 1 via decision after three rounds. The fight was held on February 15, 2012.
UFC On Fuel TV 4 and the fight against Vaughan Lee will be remembered for TJ’s spectacular neck crank, which was one of the best submissions ever in the history of Bantamweight.
TJ Dillashaw demonstrated the power of his kicks for the first time at UFC 158, on March 16, 2013, in Montreal, Quebec against Issei Tamura. Tamura tried to take TJ down, but TJ executed perfectly-timed left high kick and ended the fight via KO in the second round.
In the next fight at UFC on Fox 7, held on April 20, 2013, he defeated Hugo Viana via TKO in the first round.
Raphael Assuncao, a Brazilian submission specialist, defeated Dillashaw on UFC Fight Night 29, on October 9, 2013, in Barueri, Brazil. Assuncao won via split decision after amazing three rounds. Both fighters earned Fight Of The Night bonus.

TJ Dillashaw Vs Renan Barao – UFC 173 Title Shot
Renan Barao came with a 33-fight undefeated streak, and TJ Dillashaw was a big underdog. The two faced on May 24, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the main event of the evening.
Viper surprised the whole UFC with his superior boxing skills and total domination. After a left high kick in the fifth round, Barao went down and Dillashaw finished the fight. TJ became UFC Bantamweight Champion, and both fighters received Performance Of The Night and Fight Of The Night Bonus.
TJ Dillashaw – Successful Title Defenses
TJ Dillashaw was successful at UFC 177 against Joe Soto, winning via KO after a tremendous right high kick to the head in the fifth round. The fight was the main event of the evening, and it was held on August 30, 2014, in Sacramento, California.
The rematch with Renan Barao was a title shot and the main event of the evening again, but this time, TJ was a champion. The two faced at UFC on Fox 16, on July 25, 2015. TJ Dillashaw pressed Barao against the fence with brutal punches at the beginning of the fourth round. Herb Dean stopped the fight with Barao still on his feet after few lighting fast powerful punches.
TJ Dillashaw Vs Dominick Cruz – Title Loss
The fight was the main event of UFC Fight Night 81, and it was held on January 17, 2016, at Boston, Massachusetts. The fight was a tie for five rounds, but Dominick Cruz won via split decision on the judge scorecards. Both fighters received Fight Of The Night awards.
In the next fight at UFC 200, on July 9, 2016, TJ had a chance to revenge to Raphael Assuncao. After a lot better performance, Dillashaw won after three rounds via unanimous decision.
At UFC 207, held on December 30, 2016, TJ Dillashaw was more convincing against John Lineker. He won via unanimous decision, and all three judges scored the fight 30-26.
TJ Dillashaw vs Cody Garbrandt – UFC 217 Title Shot
Cody Garbrandt was threatening at the weigh-in, saying TJ will be chasing his belt forever. The two faced on 4th November 2017, in New York City, New York, in the co-main event of the evening. TJ was successfully keeping Garbrandt on distance, but Cody rocked him hard in the middle of the first round. At the end of the first round, Cody delivered a great right cross, but TJ was again saved by the bell.
As soon as the second round started, TJ delivered a brutal left high kick and Cody was rocked. Viper continued delivering punches on the ground and the referee stopped the fight. Garbrandt then challenged him on social networks to accept the rematch at UFC 222, but TJ declined the showdown since he wants to spend some time with his child
