WATCH: T.J. Dillashaw Stunning KO’s Win Over Cody Garbrandt

The weeks of trash talk exchanging insults, their bad blood finally settled today at UFC 217. Garbrandt, defending his UFC bantamweight title against his former Team Alpha Male teammate TJ Dillashaw at Madison Square Garden.

Dillashaw (15-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) dropped undefeated Cody Garbrandt (11-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) with an incredible head kick and then planted him again with a right hand before finishes him with series of strikes on the floor to win the 135-pound championship.

Garbrandt won the first round and had Dillashaw hurt and made him wobbly right as the bell ended. During the second, Dillashaw get together and won with an impressive come from behind TKO of his own.

After the massive win Dillashaw said:

“This belt was around my waist the whole time in my head,” said Dillashaw (15-3), who won for the seventh time in his past eight fights. “[Flyweight champ] Demetrious Johnson, I’m coming for you, you’ve got that record that’s fake, you dodged me, and I’m coming for that belt and you know it.”

Cody Garbrandt (11-1) lost for the first time in his MMA career.

“He’s a hell of a fighter, he’s young, he’s going to be back,” Dillashaw said of Garbrandt. “The kid’s tough, he hits hard. You can condition your chin. I got caught with a big right but I bounced right back.”
