Logan Paul revealed the reason The Rock separated ways with him.

Dwayne Johnson, one of the most-followed people on Instagram, collaborated with YouTube sensation Logan Paul on a number of occasions. Paul rose to fame through the now-defunct short-form video hosting service Vine and uploaded about three to four videos with the Hollywood superstar. However, the two seemingly went their different ways after one incident.

Johnson has also previously rescinded his support for other celebrities such as Joe Rogan when he feels like it.

Logan Paul reveals what caused his rift with The Rock

In a recent appearance on the True Geordie podcast, Logan Paul expanded on his relationship with The Rock. He recounted how he became friends with the former wrestler and praised him for being an awesome person.

“We made a couple of videos together, me and Dwayne, back in the day when I was making Instagram Vine sketches. A great guy in real life, I was scared to meet him because I was like, ‘is he going to be one of those people whom I meet and I fall out of love with my idea of him?’ Nah, sweetheart. “

Paul stated that the videos they made together went viral and went as far as to call him an acquaintance if not a friend.

“This was one of the saddest moments of my life. After Japan happened, obviously, found myself in a hole, rightfully so, that I had never been in before. Extremely low, mentally.

“I got a call from my publicist who also repped Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and she’s like, ‘hey, Dwayne has asked that you remove every picture or video that you’ve done with him.

“Maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you.”

While he acknowledged Johnson taking issue with his incident in Japan, Paul admitted he felt sad at not getting a direct call or text from the man he thought he had open communication with.

“I was so sad that my hero wanted nothing to do with me. I understood it, I really f**ked up. Just something man (a call or text), anything.”

The Rock reached out to Paul recently

During the same interview, Paul shared that Johnson had contacted him recently out of the blue. Paul said that he didn’t try to reach out to him after he was given the cold turkey when asked.

“I did not reach out, he did. He did about three months ago. (He reached out) like nothing ever happened. (It was through) Instagram DM.”

Paul stated that The Rock reached out because he found one of Paul’s videos funny but completely ignored that there was ever any disconnect.

“Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is awesome, I love him. He don’t owe me sh*t. Damn, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t hurt.”

It seems like Paul was genuinely hurt at not receiving a personal message from The Rock despite the relationship they shared. He didn’t know what to tell to him after being told that Johnson kept “supporting him from afar.”
