The face-off between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz ended with a nasty physical altercation between their teams.

Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz is set to make his first combat sports outing since leaving the most elite mixed martial arts promotion last year. He completed the final bout of his contract against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. He earned a commanding fourth-round submission finish of ‘El Cucuy’ to exit the promotion on a high note.

Following his free agency, Diaz got confirmed to face social media influencer turned boxer Jake Paul inside the boxing ring on Aug. 5.

During the pre-fight press conference face-off in Dallas, Jake Paul and Nate Diaz’s teams ended up getting into a physical altercation.

Diaz can be seen arguing with a man who seems to be involved in facing them off. He appeared to get in a verbal spat with the man before walking up to him in an aggressive manner. The security jumped in to separate Diaz and the man. However, things only escalated from there and the two teams got into a brawl kicked off by a scuffle between the security.

Paul took to X to share an update after the incident.

“Nate’s team has emailed my team trying to claim assault after his team swung first,” Paul wrote. “Apparently the guy who swung first is at the hospital getting stitches. Hilarious these fake gangsters acting like this!”

Diaz took issue with a bouncer on Paul’s team

Diaz fired shots at a bouncer on team Paul who he previously had a dispute with and hit back at ‘The Problem Child’ for labeling him a bully. On the other hand, Paul was happy to finally see Diaz turn up the heat.

“You know who the bully is? That bouncer right there who I smacked with a beer the last time he thought he was tight,” Diaz shouted. “I f******* smacked that b**** in the face. That’s who the bully is. F*** him, f*** you, and f*** MVP.”

“Let’s go. I like it,” Paul said. “Nate’s alive. We woke the beast up. Let’s go Nate. I like it. Talk your s***, Nate. Talk your s***.”

Nate Diaz is scheduled for his return to action against Paul in a boxing match this Saturday, August 5 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
