Former UFC standout turned BKFC brawler ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry made his return to the squared circle on Saturday night to headline KnuckleMania IV, emanating from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.

Looking for his fifth-straight win under the BKFC banner, Perry toed the line with another ex-UFC fighter and former BKFC middleweight champion Thiago Alves. It would be Alves’ first time competing for the promotion since his title-winning performance against Ulysses Diaz at BKFC 18 in June 2021.

Round 1

Perry puts Alves on his back foot early, looking to land combinations up against the fence. Alves fires back with a counter right hand that moves Perry back momentarily. Moving back in, ‘Platinum’ throws a perfectly placed left hook that tags Alves clean, sending him to the mat.

Alves makes it to his feet just in time to beat the referee’s count, but he is clearly not all there, prompting the referee to call for the stoppage at the one-minute mark of round one.

Official Result: Mike Perry def. Thiago Alves via TKO (left hook) at 1:00 of Round 1.
