Cro Cop has left the UFC just as swiftly as he came in to join DREAM in Japan…and there is nothing Dana White can do about it. Enjoy yesterday, because that’s the last you will see Cro-Cop in a UFC octagon. Dana White signed a one fight deal with Cro Cop to get him in the cage…and he leaves after his one fight. The dude technically honored his contract. I really don’t see what the problem, but apparently Dana White is heated:
“He [expletived] me”
“The first time in the history of the company I do one over the phone. He promised me a three-fight deal and he [expletived] me”
“He didn’t keep his word. He talked about honor and all this other [expletive] and he [expletived] me.”
“He fed me this bull [expletive] about wanting to take a run for the title, and what I think he did was, he went out and did this. He turned down every other [expletive] fighter I offered him, because I needed him to fight Cain. He didn’t just poke Al-Turk; he poked me, too.”
Got to love Dana White’s quotes. That dude is a master at throwing verbal daggers…but that’s really all he can do. Seriously, what can you do to a guy that snacks on spleens? If you said nothing, then you’ve won the ‘blatantly obvious’ sweepstakes.[Source]
