White was evidently hyped about Pimblett vs. Ferguson and fans should too as both fighters have gained notoriety for pulling off exciting and entertaining fights.
Pimblett will be coming in looking to extend his already impressive unbeaten UFC record to five wins in a row. On the other hand, Ferguson has been on an ugly losing streak, having lost in his last six trips to the Octagon. Nevertheless, “El Cucuy” has remained one of the fan-favorites in the promotion.
In his last fight, “The Baddy” secured a unanimous decision win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282. Ferguson, meanwhile, was submitted by his fellow UFC veteran Bobby Green at UFC 291.
UFC 296 is another stacked card
White also mentioned that the UFC 296 card is “still being filled” and he would be back for “more information” soon. The UFC boss is confident that UFC 296 will undoubtedly go down as one of the best events of the current year.
