UFC middleweight Paulo Costa will seemingly receive assistance from Paddy Pimblett to make the 185 lb weight limit.
After missing weight in his most recent outing against Marvin Vettori at UFC Fight Night 196, Paulo Costa’s future in the middleweight division was brought under question. Following the weigh-ins, UFC president Dana White stated that the promotion will not allow Costa to compete at 185 lb in the future.
Paddy Pimblett agrees to help Paulo Costa
Despite coming in at 204.5 lb for the contest, about 20 lb heavier than the weight limit, Costa will be getting another shot in the division. The 31-year-old has been slated to take on the former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in his return to fighting.
Another fighter who the fans assume to have a weight cut as hard would be Paddy Pimblett, who balloons up to massive proportions during his time off between fights. ‘The Baddy’ will begin camp shortly after being booked for his next fight on the UFC London card.
Following the announcement of Pimblett’s next bout, Paulo Costa took to Twitter to request help from the Scouser with his weight cut.

“Bro July 23? help me to make weight like that”
“Or let’s miss weight together bro in July 23 eating some cakes candys as a protest against the system ! What do u think?”
Pimblett responded to Costa’s request with a positive answer asking the Brazilian to join him in Liverpool.
“Get over to Liverpool big man, we get you down to 185 in no time chesty”
Paulo Costa happy to receive help
Following Pimblett’s affirmative response, Costa expressed his delight at getting help with making the weight limit.

In another tweet, Costa responded to Chael Sonnen claiming that ‘Borrachinha’ is sure to come in overweight for his next fight.

While these light-hearted exchanges seem to be in good fun, nothing serious is expected to come out of the recent developments between the pair. Costa has built a reputation for being a troll on Twitter, and Pimblett is just a good sport in general.
