Jake Paul has called out Tommy Fury for not putting pen to paper.
YouTube sensation Jake Paul has been rallying for a boxing match against Tommy Fury. They were slated to compete against each other last December but Fury withdrew from the bout citing a rib injury. Following a rematch with Tyron Woodley, who was found as the replacement on the same card, it seemed like the two would finally collide sometime this year.
Now, Paul is claiming that Fury doesn’t want to make it happen.
Jake Paul trashed Tommy Fury for “pulling out of the fight”
In a video posted to his Twitter, Jake Paul put Tommy Fury on blast for allegedly trying to pull out of the fight. The younger Paul claimed that despite agreeing to the Brit’s conditions, he still wanted a way out.

“Tommy Fury and boxers like him are the reason this sport started to die. Tommy, you have 24 hours to fix this.“
“Yet again, I wake up this morning to another text from my manager saying that Tommy Fury is pulling out of the fight. We agreed to all of the terms, everything is ready to go. We’re 45 days away from the fight. We agreed to his two million dollar purse, we agreed to VADA testing, extra flights, extra rooms, extra tickets to the fight.
“We’re scheduled to have a press conference next week in New York. His whole entire team was like, ‘yeah, everything’s good, we’re signing the contract today.’ It kept on getting pushed till now. What’s the excuse? ‘Oh, I can’t come and I can’t do it because my dad can’t be there with me during the fight.'”
Paul shuts down Fury’s reasons
Paul alleged that Fury wanted out because his dad wouldn’t be able to make it to the fight. John Fury, the father of Tyson and Tommy Fury, recently uploaded a now-deleted video on Instagram asking for the fight to be hosted outside of the US.
As per ‘The Problem Child’, Tommy should’ve been well aware of the legal fact and argued against its validity.
“Tommy, your dad has been banned from the United States for 15 years. You’ve known this the whole entire time. He’s a criminal, he’s not allowed in. When he fought Anthony Taylor in Cleveland, neither Tyson nor your dad were there with you on your US debut. Now, all of a sudden you need your time with you? That doesn’t make any f**king sense.”
He went a step further and said that Fury’s messing up the biggest opportunity of his life.
“This is what real boxers do, they make fights f**king happen. You’re scared. You claim you’re a professional boxer but you don’t want to make the fight with me, who you’ve talked so much sh*t about.”
“You’re a f**king atypical professional boxer who doesn’t want to make this fight actually f**king happen. This is the biggest opportunity of your f**king life and you’re fumbling the f**king bag once again and I can’t believe how f**king stupid you are. F**king idiot.”
Jake Paul is expected to fight Tommy Fury this August. However, the official announcement is yet to follow from the ongoing dispute to confirm the event.
