When I attended the University of Arizona I needed to score some secondary language credit so I enrolled in a level 300 Hebrew class without any knowledge of Hebrew. I chose to skip two levels because I really wanted to be in the same class as some chick that I was really into at the time. I thought she was feeling my vibe, but in retrospect she was probably just puzzled why I would rock yellow pants and Hawaiian shirts around the UofA campus. That level 300 Hebrew class lasted for about fifteen minutes, and it was rudely halted when the professor started talking to me in Hebrew. I didn’t know what to say so I just nodded my head and gave her the thumbs up. After realizing that I was about as useless in a Hebrew class as Palestinian militant, she instructed me to leave the class and take a lower level Hebrew course.
Somehow I ended up graduating from Arizona with a minor in Judaic studies, and I never had the opportunity to date that one chick I was chasing — she lives in Florida now.
Moral of the story, if you ever find yourself in a court room in Israel, just start throwing punches.
