You’re not alone, Melvin Guillard still hates his high school teachers

Simon Phoenix laid down the look in Demolition Man nearly two decades ago and now Melvin Guillard has perfected the neon-blonde look while simultaneously making the entire Demolition Man franchise proud. Actually, we all should give it up to Kevin Randleman. He was like pioneer of the Simon Phoenix look in MMA, Melvin Guillard’s hair is just a genetically modified clone. If Guillard manages to get past Evan Dunham at this weekend’s ‘UFC Fight for the Troops 2’, it’s safe to say that a victory for Melvin is a win for Simon Phoenix and just legitimatizes the need for the Demolition Man franchise to be remade.

In an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMAFighting, Melvin Guillard confirms that he shares the same disdain that you hold for your high school teachers, and he will not be friending them on Facebook anytime soon.

“I remember in high school I had teachers who would tell me that I wasn’t going to ever be [expletive]. Now look at me. Those same teachers will try and contact me through my little brothers and sisters that go to that same high school, and they say, ‘Hey, tell Melvin congratulations.’ I think that’s [expletive].

“As a kid growing up, a teacher’s supposed to be there for you and give you some motivation. But I had a lot of them telling me I’d never be [expletive]. Now they want to be my friend on Facebook or follow me on Twitter. They want to know me now because I’m doing something with my life. That’s my drive. That’s my motivation, to show people that I can be something.”

Everyone should feel a little uneasy knowing that a guy named ‘The Young Assassin’ still holds a strong, focused hatred towards his high school teachers. [Source]
