Say what you will about the Matrix trilogy and what used to be the Wachowski brothers (now Larry is a girl), the very first Matrix is one of the best sci-fi flicks out there, and frankly, I don’t think I have to go here but one film was all we needed. It was self contained, it had an amazing origin/savior tale wrapped up in a journey down the binary rabbit hole and the ending was great. Who doesn’t like watching people fly through the air to early Rage Against the Machine? Apparently Zeus, because he’s a huge fan of the second and third films, which makes me question my entire lot in life. That said, The Animatrix is still totally awesome.
I was trying my best to not have to rewatch all of The Matrix movies ever again, but now that this incredible short film (?) has been released, I think that’s how I’m going to have to spend my evening. Ladies and gentleman, dim your lights, turn up your audio and watch what is obviously a breakdown of the only fight that could give The Spider trouble on his feet– Anderson Silva Vs. Neo. Whoa.
