Women are treated equally in this wild Russian soccer hooligan brawl

The greatest shred of female equality that I’ve ever witnessed in entertainment is the scene in Starship Troopers when men and women are taking showers in the barracks. There’s also a pub I visited in Brussels, Belgium that has unisex bathrooms. That’s pretty cool. Let’s see — I met this girl in Colorado that’s a better Halo 4 player than myself. Just kidding about that last one, but it’s cute to see her attempt to throw a plasma grenade in mid-air.

At the heart of this video between two Russian soccer clubs, Spartak Moscow (in white) and CSKA Moscow in Russia (black), is quintessential Laura Mulvey feminism. She believes that the act of watching is inherently male while the act of being watched is feminine. Mulvey also believes that women in film are there simply to support the male role and serve as sexual objects that men simply cannot fulfill.

Well let this video illustrate that women can be active participators and are treated as such when a Russian soccer brawl is at hand. No one chooses to glance over the girl brawling just because she has a different set of sexual reproductive organs as them. She is a threat, she is on the opposite side — and she is met with resistance just like everyone else. Props to MarkKerrsDignity for the +100 news tip.
