It’s been a month since longtime EA MMA MiddleEasy champ Tha Premiere lost his belt to RUSHSTPIERRE, and the Sunday Night Fights universe couldn’t be in more of a flux. The Sunday before Tha Premiere and Rush fought for the title we held a 24 man tournament to decide the number one contender to the title. Rush’s ‘camp mate’ and overall incredible fighter TheProdigyPenn ended up running the gauntlet and winning (even if he had some help from the judges).
Approximately 4 days after winning the title, Rush informed me that he would be unavailable to defend his title and subsequently, he refused to fight a camp mate anyway. It looked like the champ had some personal matters to attend to, we would find him a contender when we could and he would defend the title later in the summer. Then MiddleEasy gets Twitter bombed with hundreds if not thousands of messages regarding this post by Rush on the EA MMA forums.
“Thats right people I have now came to a deal with stikforce so I will be in Middleeasy and Stikforce. I am facing NRG as the opposing coach on the Chance Of A Life Time no dobt my time will win. I have the best coaching staff and you have me of course. NRG is nothing but a loser a wimp and a fraud. I can not stand him he calls me out like two days before my fight with Premiere who I destroyed and got the highest rated LB. NRG is alot more dangerous then Premiere because he has alot more tools Premiere only has stand up and a triangle off his back. Believe it or not but I was rooting for NRG againest King. Because if he won I would be fighting him for the stikforce title but funny thing is my boy destroyed him and so will I. sign up for Chance of a Life Time”
The guy pulled a BJ Penn and took our title to go to another promotion. It’s a shame the dude he is calling out is unequivocally a top 20 player in EA MMA. After an interjection on the infamous thread, I have forced Rush to put his belt on the line against Mr. NRG at an EA MMA Live Broadcast that is going down soon, damn soon. I will let you know when.
That said, we need a knew number one contender, so I think we will need to put on another tournament tonight on Sunday Night Fights at 10pm est.
