Whatever you do, DON’T miss WEC 47 tonight

Tonight will mark the first time in over six months that I can finally watch a WEC card live without having to worry about streamrate, pop-up ads or some annoying chat room on the right side of the page telling me how Brock Lesnar is the greatest fighter in the galaxy. We can all collectively agree that Ultraman takes that title however he wants to (and it usually involves broken necks and dead planets). WEC 47 doesn’t feature Japanese mega-robots with a kung-fu grip, but they do have the next best thing: Deividas Taurosevičius. You probably remember him from the IFL where he ripped through the featherweight division before losing a unanimous decision to Ryan Schultz in 2008 at one of the last IFL events the world will ever see (RIP). Since Tauro has signed with the WEC, dude has been on an absolute tear. Tonight he steps up against LC Davis whose last loss was to Omigawa at Sengoku 7. We also get to see Javier Vazquez brighten our living rooms with his pink Clinch Gear shorts as he bangs against Jens Pulver in what may be Pulver’s last MMA bout. Miguel Torres will stop twittering for fifteen-minutes to go toe to toe with Joseph Benavidez in what could easily be fight of the year. Finally, Brian Bowles will defend his title against Dominick Cruz in the main event. Take note ZUFFA, that’s how you cut a promo. Just add some Ultraman in there and you’ll be alright. It all goes down tonight on the Versus Network at 10pm ET, get your Devils Food Cake Cookies ready.
